SimVPN.com is an independent educational website about the layers behind mobile connectivity and privacy. The name describes our subject area: the relationship between SIM cards, eSIM profiles, cellular data, and virtual private networks. It does not mean that every SIM contains a VPN, and it does not represent a mobile carrier, eSIM marketplace, or VPN subscription service.
Our core purpose is to make architecture understandable. A SIM or eSIM helps a device authenticate to a mobile operator. The operator provides radio access, routing, roaming, and an internet connection. A phone VPN or managed gateway can add an encrypted or privately routed path over that connection. Carrier account controls, device security, and strong authentication solve additional problems that a VPN cannot.
